Embroidery, weaving and wool.
Belutak is a craft corner from Sombor, working with makers across Serbia. Everything is made by hand, from natural materials only.
What comes out of Belutak
Every piece is one of a kind, and a similar one can be made on request.
Hand embroidery
Tablecloths, cushion covers, embroidered jewelry and belts. Traditional and modern motifs.
Weaving
Bags, mats, seat pads and pictures, hand-woven on a loom.
Crochet
Jewelry, hats, berets, warmers and baby booties. Cotton yarn, ribbon or raffia only.
Felted wool
Pictures, bags, slippers, figures and jewelry made of sheep's wool.
Jewelry
Pendants, earrings, necklaces, brooches and rings. Embroidered or felted.
Dolls and toys
Teddy bears, dolls and animals, crocheted in cotton yarn or felted from wool.
A belutak is a white pebble from the river. Water smooths it for years until it turns round.
We took the name because handwork moves at the same pace. Nothing is finished overnight, and we try to bring every piece as close to perfect as we can. Every piece is one of a kind, and a similar one can be made.
The work is made in Sombor and shown at craft fairs and events, together with makers from all over Serbia.
